She is also passionate in advocacy committed to advancing mental health awareness, SRHR, climate justice, Leadership and governance and youth empowerment. She is deeply driven by the desire to support young people in building resilience, making informed life choices and discovering their purpose.

Daniel Shirima

Youth Advisory Board Chair

Daniel Shirima represents Nairobi County and serves as the Chairperson of the Board, providing strategic leadership and oversight in advancing the organization’s mission and impact.He is a communication-for-impact practitioner and peacebuilder committed to advancing youth empowerment, gender equity, and the prevention of gender-based violence. He leads Jenga Lives CBO and Peace Pulse Network, initiatives that equip young people and communities with practical skills and resources to address conflict nonviolently and foster resilient, inclusive societies.

 

 

Emily Mito

Youth Advisory Board Member

Emily is a Community Development Practitioner with a strong passion for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), gender equality, and good governance. She envisions a healthy, just, and inclusive society where everyone lives with dignity and equal opportunity. Emily firmly believes that the world cannot be truly safe until all women and girls are free from violence , a conviction that fuels her dedication to community empowerment, advocacy, and social justice.

She is also the Founder of Mombasa Young Mothers, an initiative focused on supporting and uplifting young mothers through mentorship, awareness creation, and access to essential resources.

 

 

Kamau Prince Bryan

I am a product of the need of the youth engagement in political and governance processes and structure of the nation as seen after the 2024 Gen Z protests. I have been passionate about good governance, social accountability and democracy. I hold the opinion that all our problems can and shall be solved by us the people of Kenya.

 

Alex Mavuti

Youth Advisory Board Member

Alex Mavuti is a social and youth development expert, a dedicated humanitarian and psychologist with extensive experience in community engagement and program management, capacity building, gender and disaster risk reduction. Over the years, Alex has held key leadership roles, including serving as the Young Co-Chairperson for the interagency Working group for reproductive health in Crises, Site Coordinator at the Machakos Youth Drop-in Centre, Lower Eastern Region Youth Chairperson at the Kenya Red Cross Society, The Africa Regional Focal Point for the Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY) and a member of the SEM UNDRR Advisory Group. He is currently the Machakos County Working Group Chairperson. Alex is passionate about championing the rights, mental health and general wellbeing of young people and communities across diverse humanitarian contexts.

Diana is a Cooperative Officer, model, disability advocate, and the reigning Miss Inclusive Kenya. As an amputee and youth leader, she is a member of NORTA Organization under the Uasin Gishu Working Group and actively volunteer in other spaces where there is need. She is passionate about empowering young people, advancing the rights of Persons with Disabilities, women and girls, preventing GBV, promoting inclusion and accessibility, and driving climate change awareness. Through community outreach, youth-led initiatives, and inclusive programming, she contributes to building healthy, empowered, and resilient communities.

Budget Chimoli Ligono

Youth Advisory Board Member

Budget Chimoli is a youth leader and governance advocate from Kisumu County, currently serving as a Programs Coordinator at Dreams Redefined Community Based Organization. She is actively involved in promoting good leadership, transparency, and accountability through youth-centered civic education, social accountability initiatives, and public participation processes. Budget is also the current Organizing Secretary for the Kisumu County Working Group, where she supports coordination, youth engagement, and collective action on governance issues. She is passionate about nurturing ethical youth leadership, strengthening youth representation in decision-making spaces, and empowering young people to meaningfully shape governance and development outcomes in their communities.

Susan Wairimu

Youth Advisory Board Member

Susan is an entrepreneur from Murang’a County and an active member of Absolute Power and Light CBO, a community-based organization dedicated to improving the well-being of young people and children with physical disabilities. Through the organization, she supports initiatives that provide assistive devices, including wheelchairs, to enhance mobility and dignity for children in need.

She is deeply committed to early intervention and actively champions transformative leadership at the grassroots level, believing that sustainable change begins within communities.

Jefferson Amagadu Mudaki

Youth Advisory Board Member

Jefferson Amagadu Mudaki, HSC is a Kenyan youth leader, policy advocate, and Founder & Executive Director of Declares Kenya, a youth- and women-led organization advancing inclusion and social justice in marginalized pastoralist communities in Kenya. With over five years of experience in policy advocacy, budget analysis, and grassroots mobilization, his work spans climate justice, gender equality, youth participation, and the elimination of harmful cultural practices such as FGM and early marriage.
A 2023 Mandela Washington Fellow and recipient of Kenya’s Head of State Commendation, Jefferson serves on the Youth Sounding Board of the Embassy of Denmark in Kenya and coordinates the Youth Alive! Kenya West Pokot Working Group. He is committed to amplifying youth voices in decision-making spaces and driving sustainable, community-led development across Kenya’s ASAL regions.

 

Antonia Milanoi

Youth Advisory Board Member

Antonia is a passionate youth civic leader actively engaged in governance, accountability, and community development. She serve as a leader within the Kajiado Youth WASH Parliament, where she work on civic education, youth organizing, and social accountability in the WASH sector at the community and county level. Antonia is also a MaaEB Representative in the Coalition of Youth for Devolution, contributing to youth-led coordination, advocacy, and engagement on devolution and inclusive governance across the country. In addition, she serve as a youth leader in my church and a community educator on social change, supporting young people to understand their rights, participate in public decision-making, and engage constructively with duty bearers. Her work is driven by a strong belief in youth leadership, inclusive governance, and sustainable, people-centered solutions that respond to real community needs.
