This project was part of a broader Youth engagement project that was implemented in conjunction with the Africa Youth Trust, geared towards engagement of East African Youth in reinventing a democratic and human rights culture and centering youth voices in regional law making processes. The project aimed to mobilise the social capital of young people to promote good governance and human rights while focusing strongly on youth’s role and priorities in generating a democratic culture and ensuring respect of human rights. With a desire to ensure that awareness and skills are translated to attitudinal change and action, the project mobilised a wide variety of actors both as targets and collaborators in the process.
