Youth Alive! Kenya implemented the Juvenile Justice Project between 2005 and 2012 in partnership with the Department of Children Services with support from GOAL Ireland, the Safaricom Foundation, ActionAid International Kenya and the Finnish NGO Foundation for Human Rights. The project sought to promote an effective juvenile justice system in Kenya bent on restoration of young offenders by improving the quality of institutional rehabilitation while strengthening community linkages to support reintegration of discharged offenders. It was successfully implemented in Nairobi and Kisumu.
