The Child Empowerment and Protection Project (CEP) is a project currently being implemented by Youth Alive! Kenya with an overall goal to prevent marginalization of extremely vulnerable children and youth (EVCY). It targets government statutory custodial institutions (SCI) that provide institutional care and rehabilitation for children in need of special care and protection (CNSCP) as well as children in conflict with the law. This project aims to improve the capacity of the Statutory Children’s Institutions to protect the rights of extremely vulnerable children and youth, and ensure that they receive child-friendly services.
