Background

Youth Excel aims to improve and sustain positive youth outcomes, advance local, national and global development agendas through implementation research, intergenerational dialogue and knowledge mobilization.

Jihusishe Na Amani is a 6 month program in partnership with Youth Alive! Kenya whose main goal is to promote peace and social cohesion within the hotspot areas of Kisumu and Uasin Gishu Counties in Kenya. This is done by fostering intercultural dialogue, social cohesion and peacebuilding at the community level. There are three main activity components which include; Civic engagement; Youth Exchange Dialogues and Media Campaigns. Its implementation period is between 26th September 2022 to 1st April 2023.

Monitoring and Evaluation- This will enhance improved use of data in program reporting tools and for resource mobilization

The program aims to engage 19 participants (11 Kisumu and 8 Uasin Gishu Working Group Members) and stakeholders.

Goals ad Objectives

The project seeks to promote peace and reconciliation in rural areas of Kisumu and Uasin Gishu Counties in Kenya by fostering inter-cultural dialogue and promotion of leadership among young people in Kenya in an attempt to facilitate conflict resolution and peace building at the community level.
