This project’s objective was to inculcate a youth perspective in poverty reduction. It aimed to build the capacity, skills and resources available within the participating country teams to engage in processes related to PRSPs. The participating countries included Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This was funded by SIDA through LSU and Forum Syd and with technical support from UNDESA.
The project sought to highlight and strengthen young people’s role in development policies in general and poverty reduction strategies (PRSPs) in partnership with National Council of Swedish Youth Organizations (LSU). Youth Alive! Kenya (YAK) successfully implemented this project in two phases.
