Our Story
We envision a society where young people are empowered to realize their full potential
Youth Alive! Kenya was formally registered as a community-based group in April 1999 and a national NGO in December 2003. Over the years, Youth Alive! Kenya has grown to be a key player in the core areas of justice and development with a strong focus on young people, serving at both policy and service delivery levels and expanding from a single program area of HIV/AIDS
in 2000 to four program areas of health, justice & human rights, democracy & governance, and environment & livelihoods by 2007.
The idea of Youth Alive! Kenya evolved out of a set of informal discussions among young students attending local universities in Kenya.
Youth Alive! Kenya was conceptualized as a rallying point and a platform from which people would address issues affecting their well-being and development,
