2023 Annual Report
It is with great pride and excitement that we share with you our 2023 Annual Report. As a youth-serving organization, we experienced the highs and lows affecting our core demographic constantly motivating us to ensure our programming was responsive to the needs and priorities of young people. Kenya emerged from a relatively peaceful electioneering period and general election in 2022, into a tumultuous 2023 occasioned by anti-government protests due to the high cost of living, perennial prolonged drought, high levels of unemployment and the enactment of the Finance Act 2023 which introduced a wide array of taxes while removing subsidies on food, fuel and other basic commodities. Despite these challenges, we ensured our work in 2023 remained centered around placing power, voice, and agency to the young people through our members organizations and working groups. We are inspired by the progress we have made in 2023 and energized to take on the challenges that lie ahead. As you journey with us through the pages of this report, we trust that our passion to advance the aspiration of young people in Kenya re-energizes your own commitment to positively impact the lives of young people in Kenya.
