CONSULTANCY SERVICES ON TRAINER OF TRAINERS ON BUILDING BRIDGES INITIATIVES (BBI)
YAK has partnered with URAIA-TRUST to implement an eight months (8) project dubbed “Kushiriki Ni Jukumu Letu – Phase II” that is designed to empower youth organizations including disabled persons organizations in West Pokot, Kisumu, Kajiado and Mombasa Counties to promote the implementation of pro-youth policies and holding duty-bearers accountable in delivering services through civic education. In addition, the civic education will enhance public participation in citizens-driven reform and good governance, democratic transformation and political leadership participation. The project’s objective is: “To increase youth Civil Society Organizations’ (CSOs) engagement in governance processes at County level for improved service delivery”.
Objective of this consultancy
The objective of this consultancy is to build the capacity of Trainer of Trainers/ civic educators on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) proposals, legal underpinnings, and implications of YES or NO referendum, consequences of the proposals (presidential verses parliamentary system), the role of the three arms of government in the respect to the anticipated changes and any changes with respect to citizen engagement. Key focus of the consultancy will be the issue of marginalized voices (youth, women and persons living with disabilities) and how can they meaningfully engage to make their voices heard in this political process.
