The Justice and Human Rights Programme seeks to foster safer communities, promote human rights and improve the system of justice in Kenya. In particular the programme works to: advance access to justice for disadvantaged and marginalized children and young people in Kenya; promote crime prevention among young people and improve the effectiveness of the justice system in the rehabilitation and restoration of young offenders; and inculcate the respect for human rights and promote human rights principles as the basis for peace and development.

- Greater and quick access to justice by young people in difficult circumstances within the focal region of Youth Alive! Kenya and nationally
- Safe and peaceful communities providing strong community based prevention and treatment avenues for crime and related forms of antisocial behaviour for children and youth.
- Strong policies and legislation aimed at facilitating prevention of crime and improving the quality and approaches in the institutional rehabilitation of young offenders
- Deep understanding and strong support for human rights, as the basis of peaceful coexistence and development
